Jim started playing professionally at 11 years old. Joined his first band, THE VANDELS, in 1959 as a drummer. The band played mostly south of Boston. Later, Jim was with several well known bands and enjoyed playing venues all over New England with his contemporaries such as the Barbarians, The Rockin' Ramrods, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Boston and even Sonny and Cher and Aretha Franklin. Jim feels very blessed to have been a part of early American Rock and roll history. He retired in 2012 started a solo act and now only does local venues. Currently he does Old Time Rock and Roll, Classic Rock and Country. As a solo act, Jim plays electronic drums and guitar to accompany backing tracks of his own making.
